Depending on recruitment to fill skills shortages is a costly, unsustainable strategy for most welding businesses. To reduce your defect rates and increase the contracts you win, develop and implement an ongoing internal training program and control the quality of your workforce.

Start with a skills gap analysis, not a wish list

Before you spend any money on training, understand what skills you have. Gather the certificates of every welder you employ and identify which processes they are already qualified to operate, and the materials they have experience with.
